Presented by Backyard Bird Shop, the Wild Arts Festival supports Bird Alliance of Oregon’s conservation, education, and wildlife rehabilitation work across the state.
Celebrate Nature Through Art and Books
Dozens of new artists will join beloved returning ones in sharing their love of nature through painting, woodwork, metalwork, sculpture, jewelry, photography, textiles, and other art forms. Art will be available at a variety of price points, perfect for holiday shopping or finding something special for your home. The Book Fair will feature over 20 authors from Oregon and the Pacific Northwest with books that focus on nature, birds, hiking, history, as well as children’s books. Come by to meet your favorite local authors and buy signed copies of their books!
Donate Now, Shop Later at the Silent Auction
Our Silent Auction is a great way to support Bird Alliance of Oregon whether you contribute items or make a purchase. You’ll find beautiful art and jewelry, as well as gift certificates for vacation stays, exotic trips, outings, and restaurants. Auction Items will be displayed both online and at the Wild Arts Festival. We’ll also have a cash and carry store full of irresistible lower-priced items.
Silent Auction items are all donated—by the artists showing at the Festival and by members, businesses, and the public. Donating is a great way for our supporters to rehome nature-related items like art, jewelry, and decorative objects.
If you are connected to a business, consider that over 4,000 people participate in the Wild Arts Festival. Donations of nature-related merchandise and certificates are very welcome and provide excellent advertising and demonstrate your business’s commitment to Oregon’s wildlife and wild places. To donate to the auction, please contact us at wafsilentauction@birdallianceoregon.org. Donations will be accepted through October.
There are also great sponsorship opportunities for the Festival that we would love to discuss with you. Contact mhushbeck@birdallianceoregon.org to learn more.
Volunteers Make the Wild Arts Festival Happen
Join us as a Wild Arts Festival Volunteer to connect with fellow birders, nature enthusiasts, and art and book lovers. We need help with setup on Friday, admissions, auction and artist assistance on Saturday and Sunday, teardown on Sunday evening, and help with wrap-up tasks on Monday. Putting on the Festival takes a variety of skills, and many different shifts are available, mostly half-day. Of course, it’s even more fun with a friend!
If you’ve joined us as a volunteer in the past, you will hear from us soon. If you want to become a volunteer or have questions, please get in touch with Volunteer Manager Julia May at jmay@birdallianceoregon.org.
