CANCELLED – Bird Alliance of Oregon Birding Day: Bird Song of the Coast Range

This is a self-driving day trip, and the meeting location is approximately forty minutes from Portland. Bring lunch and dress for the weather. Meet at 6 a.m. in Banks in the parking lot of Jim’s Thriftway (12350 NW Main St, Banks, OR 97106) at 45.6103, -123.1137.

The singing birds of the Coast Range have returned, and bird song will be abuzz. We will be looking for Hermit and MacGillivray’s Warbler, Northern Pygmy-Owl, Hammond’s Flycatcher, and many more. We will work the forest roads west of the town of Timber, including elevations between about 1000 and 2500 ft.
