Birding Day: Birds of the Oregon Coast with John Rakestraw *FULL*
This day trip pairs nicely with John’s Birds of the Coast digital class on April 30, 2024.
The Oregon Coast hosts a great diversity of birds in a variety of habitats. On this trip we will seek out our coastal specialties, including Tufted Puffin, Black Oystercatcher, Ruddy Turnstone, Brandt’s Cormorant, Harlequin Duck, and many others. We will bird sites around Cannon Beach and Seaside, possible north to Fort Stevens. Our trip should coincide with the peak of spring migration.
You will drive yourself. Bring food and water. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
Your leader will send out meeting location details about one week before the program.

Join John Rakestraw during shorebird migration and explore some of the best sites from Seaside north to Fort Stevens.
