Birding Day: Finley National Wildlife Refuge *FULL*
Finley National Wildlife Refuge has the largest bird list of any of the Willamette Valley refuges, and seeing the incredible mix of habitats preserved here, its not hard to see why. On this full-day, van-based trip, we’ll explore the wetlands, forests, and prairies in search of waterfowl, raptors, and returning songbirds, keeping an eye out for wildflowers and early butterflies. En route, we’ll visit Talking Water Gardens, an impressive natural wastewater treatment project in Albany, where wetland birds abound.
Bring a lunch, dress for the weather, and be prepared to see a lot of birds!

Explore the rich habitats of the “birdiest” of the Willamette Valley Refuges.
