Birding Day: Advanced Waterfowl Identification in Tillamook County

Waterfowl are an easy entry point to birding, but also contain some real ID challenges! On this full-day, van-based trip, we’ll explore various habitats in the Tillamook Bay, as well as some open ocean and grassy habitats, working on the IDs of confusing ducks and geese, as well as their lookalikes, like loons, grebes, and cormorants. We’ll also discuss strategies for finding different species, and using behavior and habitat to aid in identification.

$45 – $65
