Intermediate Birding by Ear: Wetlands with Brodie Cass Talbott
These intermediate classes with Brodie are the perfect way to sharpen your birding by ear skills! This 4-part series includes birds of Forests, Wetlands, East of the Cascades, and Mountains. Please register separately for each class.
With the highest density and diversity of birds of any of our habitats, as well as thick vegetation making visibility challenging at times, wetlands can present us with a confounding array of sounds. In this class, we’ll demystify these enigmatic sounds with an exploration into our most common wetland birds, with descriptions of the birds as well as recordings of the sounds they make. Helpful memory devices and a quiz will help us retain this information and take it out into the field!
