Intermediate Birding by Ear: Mountains with Brodie Cass Talbott

In this class, we’ll focus on mountain bird vocalizations, building upon skills and techniques covered in the Beginning Birding by Ear series. These intermediate classes are the perfect way to sharpen your birding by ear skills! Please register separately for each Intermediate Birding by Ear class.

Summer is the perfect time to visit the mountains, and this virtual class  is the perfect way to hone your ears for the birdsong you’ll hear there. We’ll listen to the calls and songs of mountain specialties like Hermit Warbler, Red Crossbill, and our vocal tricksters, the Canada Jay, as we work on ways to separate these montane breeders in the field.
