Level up your birding skills when you learn the actual ins and outs of birds! Learn different forms and functions of feet and bills, wing morphology, some unique avian structures such as the crop, alula, and a hallux.

  • Class fee: $20 members / $30 non-members
  • Note: At this time, distance learning classes with Bird Alliance of Oregon are not available outside of the allotted time. We will be sure to make our most popular distance learning sessions available again. Thank you!

 

Meet the Instructor

Dan van den Broek

Dan has over 15 years of experience leading international birding trips and teaching classes for Bird Alliance of Oregon. With prior experiences at Point Reyes Bird Observatory, Redwood Sciences Lab, Klamath Bird Observatory, Costa Rica Bird Observatory, and Avifauna Northwest, Dan brings immense enthusiasm and passion for birds and natural history to all of his trips.
