Distance Learning: Challenging Lookalikes – Shorebirds and all other Passerines with Stefan Schlick
Join Stefan Schlick for this intermediate-level class exploring how to tell difficult species apart. Common species in the Pacific Northwest often have an uncommon or rare look-alike. Sometimes there is more than one look-alike. There are also several cases of two relatively common species that are hard to separate. Stefan will present identification field marks for how to separate them in the field.
A few of the bewildering species we’ll cover in this class are:
Hutton’s Vireo vs Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Western vs Least vs Semipalmated Sandpiper
$20 – $30
Birds that make you go hmmm...
Learn the field marks for some of the most bewildering birds and learn how to tell the difference between a Hutton's Vireo and Ruby-crowned Kinglet!
