Observe, Record, Protect: Helping Wildlife Through Community Science

Watching birds and other wildlife is fun for us, but our observations can also be useful. The combined
data from birders and other naturalists provides critical information which scientists can use to track
changes in wildlife populations and distribution. This information then helps guide conservation efforts.

Join us to learn how to share your observations, photos, and sound recordings with various community
science projects, so your observations can help the wildlife we enjoy watching.

Want to get involved in community science projects at Bird Alliance? We have many opportunities throughout the year, including the upcoming Christmas Bird Count (CBC).

An intergenerational and multiracial group goes birding in Forest Park
Community Scientists counting birds for the annual Christmas Bird Count
