Field Trip: Intermediate Birding by Ear to Company Lake II

A field trip to Company Lake will allow us the opportunity to practice the vocalizations we learned in class. If you plan to take this field trip, you must take the accompanying class.

Intermediate Birding by Ear: Winter Migrants
  • October 1, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

While we mourn the departure of our breeding migrants, October marks the return of many of our winter favorites, and with it, a big change in the bird vocalization landscape. In this class we’ll learn how to identify our wintering birds by call, and how to separate them from our year-round residents. A field trip to Company Lake will allow us the opportunity to practice these vocalizations in the field.

Limited to 10 participants.

View our COVID-safe spotting scope policy here.

This outdoor program will require masks and follow all physical distancing and safety protocols dictated by the Oregon Health Administration. Scroll down for details.
