Feeding birds is a great way to enjoy watching them from the comfort of your home. But bird feeding can put birds and other wildlife at risk if we don’t do it responsibly. Join us to learn what foods and feeding methods we can use to attract various birds to our yards while reducing the risk of injury, disease, and uninvited guests.

Meet the Instructor

John Rakestraw

Born and raised in Indiana, John worked as a naturalist in Kansas and Ohio before settling in Oregon. He is freelance writer, author of Birding Oregon, and leads classes and workshops.
