Field Trip: Return to Steigerwald! *FULL*

Steigerwald, a National Wildlife Refuge along the northern banks of the Columbia River, is well-deserved in its reputation for bird abundance. Finally reopened after two years of being closed for habitat restoration, we’ll explore the riparian, woodland, and marsh habitats that make this place so special. Along the way, we’ll look for American Bittern (one of the most reliable places for them in the region) along with Northern Harriers, Lazuli Buntings, and Savannah Sparrows.

Masks are optional on the outdoor portion of this program.

$45 – $65

Pacing: Slow, with frequent stops to view and listen for birds.
Bathroom at the parking lot, which should have ample free parking
