Herpetology 101 *FULL*

Reptiles and amphibians are stars during this week filled with these super neat, cold-blooded creatures, creating crafts and memories to last a lifetime. Leap into fun times with new friends as we search Balch Creek and the pond for amphibians like the Rough-skinned Newt and the sneaky Pacific Giant Salamander. In this camp, we’ll get to see these animal up close and learn about why they thrive in these habitats! We’ll even have a chance to meet Bird Alliance of Oregon’s Ambassador Western Painted Turtle up close!

Week-long Camp: June 27 – July 1, 8:30/8:45 a.m. – 3:15/3:30 p.m.
Grades: 3-5
Drop off Location:
Grades 3-5 meet at Upper Macleay Park, which neighbors Bird Alliance of Oregon on Cornell Road to the east.
Type of Camp: In the Sanctuary day camps combine art, science experiments and games with explorations of our beautiful, 172-acre Nature Sanctuary and neighboring Forest Park.
