Things YOU Can do to Help Birds

Birds face a variety of threats on a global scale, and populations are experiencing significant declines. Since 1970, bird populations have decreased by 30% – that’s almost 3 billion birds gone. This sharp decline in birds isn’t just birds listed as endangered or imperiled species, it also includes species that visit your own backyard. While global issues can seem overwhelming, there is a lot we can do as individuals to help.

This class will present concrete actions, like bird-safe windows, encouraging native plants and keeping cats safe indoors, that we can take in and around our own homes to help birds and other wildlife to thrive.
