Live Talk on Window Collisions and Light Pollution with Mary Coolidge

Join us on Facebook for a live presentation and Q&A with Bird-safe Coordinator, Mary Coolidge.

Spring is here and migration is on for billions of birds moving from their wintering grounds to their breeding grounds! Early nesters have already set up shop and are feeding their young. We know that our North american bird populations are in trouble, from all kinds of pressures including window collisions and light pollution. Window collisions kill up to 1 billion birds every year, and nearly half of those happen at residential buildings – private houses and apartment buildlings. Light pollution also contributes to this issue by luring birds into developed areas where they encounter deceptive window glass.

While we are sequestered in our homes this spring, what can we do to help reduce hazards for birds around our residences like window collisions and light pollution?  Join us on Facebook for a short presentation about these issues and how you can help–with Bird-safe Coordinator, Mary Coolidge. Followed by a Q&A .
