Have you ever been curious about why not all owls hoot? Or perhaps you have wondered what’s up with nocturnal owls seen during the day? Did you know that in most owl species, the females are more aggressive?
In this class, we’ll learn about all things owl behavior, with a focus on local species when applicable. We will cover social vocalizations, seasonal behaviors relative to habitat distribution, hunting behaviors such as the perch and pounce method, flocking and roosting, and mating and reproductive behavior.
