Open Air Watercolor Painting with Ronna Fujisawa
*This is an in-person art class for intermediate and ambitious beginners.
What could possibly be better than to set up an easel or a lawn chair and paint in watercolor outside? We will venture out to Sauvie Island to paint the landscape. Come join Ronna, a long-time, experienced plein air watercolor painter. Learn the basics of how to paint from life in the open air, mixing color, simplifying, and expression through watercolor to tell a story of place and time. Come prepared with all your painting gear and get ready for some fun adventure watercolor painting.
Limited to 10 participants.
Meeting location: Oak Island, Sturgeon Lake boat ramp
Pacing: 15-minute break
Amenities: Portable toilet 0.75 miles away

Elevation Changes: Sloping from parking lot to waterside.
Trail Tread and Width: Rocky, uneven ground. Dirt road with potholes and gravel driveway and parking lot. There is a slope down to the waterside
