Birding Day: Welcome Back, Puffins!

Travel to the best place in Oregon to see Tufted Puffins, freshly back from their wintering grounds!

We’ll start the day at the famous Seaside Cove looking for Surfbirds and turnstones before heading south to Cannon Beach, where we should have the opportunity to search for Tufted Puffins, freshly back from their wintering grounds. After we’ve had our fill of Alcids, we’ll head south to the Nehalem Bay state park to search for the local population of Snowy Plovers, while keeping an eye out for northbound shorebirds.

This is a self-driving trip. Participants should dress for the weather and bring all the food and drinks they will need for the day.

*Meeting location will be emailed to you by your leader several days before the field trip.

Limited to 10 participants.
