Sensory Detectives
Join us for a week of exploration as the forest comes alive through your senses! Each day of camp will promise a new adventure as we use taste, touch, smell, hearing, and sight to explore our Sanctuary. Forage for tasty wild treats, feel and smell the forest, learn to listen to what the forest is telling us and look out in search of all the beauty the Sanctuary has to offer. With fun games, sense enhancing activities and fun crafts this is sure to be a week full of discovery!
Week-long Camp, Forest Friends Track: July 28-August 1, 8:30/9 a.m. – 3:00/3:15 p.m.
Grades: 1-2
Drop off Location: Pick-up and drop-off are at Bird Alliance of Oregon, 5151 NW Cornell Rd. 1-2 grade camps will be checked in and out of camp in Heron Hall, located UPSTAIRS in the Nature Store/Interpretive Center building.
Type of Camp: In the Sanctuary day camps combine art, science experiments and games with explorations of our beautiful, 172-acre Nature Sanctuary and neighboring Forest Park.
