Birding Day: Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge

Join us as we explore the grasslands, wetlands, and woodlands of Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge. We should find a mixture of spring migrants and local nesting species. Our targets include Acorn Woodpecker, Western Bluebird, Cinnamon Teal, Black Phoebe, and Savannah Sparrow.

The trip will include 2-3 miles of hiking on level trails. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.

*Participants will drive themselves. John will share trip details ahead of time.
