Bird Walk with Wild Diversity! For Black, Indigenous, POC, Queer & Trans Communities

**This event is reserved for Black, Indigenous and People of Color and also reserved for the Queer & Trans Communities.**

Bird Hike Location: Sauvie Island | Meeting Location: Leaven Community Center, 5431 NE 20th Ave

Join Wild Diversity and Bird Alliance of Oregon expert birders Greg Smith and Candace Larson on a birdwatching excursion to beautiful Sauvie Island, where we will seek out early cranes and winter waterfowl, plus a diverse array of raptors and songbirds. We’ll make multiple stops in various habitats as we learn the basics of bird ecology and identification.  Beginners welcome, binoculars available!

You’ll Need to Bring:

  • Dress for a hike: comfortable shoes to hike in, warm layers, rain jacket/pants, warm gloves, warm hat as needed.
  • Bring a packed lunch and snack as there will be no scheduled stops.
