Winged Wonders *FULL*
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fly through the forest? Or how different birds use their wings to fly, to swim, for courtship or protection? Come learn about all of the special adaptations birds have developed since the time of dinosaurs that help them thrive in all 7 continents! We will examine birds bones and handle real specimens, wander through through the forest looking for these creatures of the sky and create bird inspired crafts. Learn about some of the challenges birds face and take action to help them in your own neighborhoods!
Week-long Camp — Creature Creators Track: August 18-22, 8:30/9 a.m. – 3:00/3:15 p.m.
Grades: 2-3
Drop off Location: Pick-up and drop-off are at Bird Alliance of Oregon, 5151 NW Cornell Rd. All 2nd/3rd grade camps will be checked in and out under the Gazebo next to the Wildlife Care Center in our main parking lot.
Type of Camp: In the Sanctuary day camps combine art, science experiments and games with explorations of our beautiful, 172-acre Nature Sanctuary and neighboring Forest Park.
