Take Action: Show Up to Support Oregon’s Marine Reserves

We need your help to fight for Oregon’s Marine Reserves program! The Outreach & Community Engagement Project Leader of ODFW’s Marine Reserve Program is an important connection point between coastal communities and Marine Reserves, and our coastal communities suffer without that investment. But that key position has been cut in Oregon’s proposed legislative budget for ODFW!

Oregon’s Marine Reserves are coastal treasures. These living laboratories protect habitat, strengthen our resilience to climate change and contribute important science and monitoring to communities dependent on our ocean resources.

We need you to join us in urging the Ways and Means Committee to reinstate the $187k biennium allocated for the Marine Reserve Program.

The Ways and Means Committee has several Town Halls coming up which provides one of the only ways to connect with them in person. Please attend and wear blue to show your support!

Please use this form to let us know you’re attending and if you’re willing to provide testimony. If public speaking isn’t your thing, having you in the room wearing blue is still helpful!
