Mt. Hood Naturalist (OVERNIGHT: This camp runs M-Th)
Embark on an unforgettable overnight adventure where you’ll find yourself at Marmot Cabin, a gem tucked into the Mount Hood Wilderness. For three nights and four days, this camp will take you on an immersive exploration into the unique ecology the Cascades. Sharpen your senses as we delve into the wonders of Mt. Hood National Forest and its surrounding ecosystems. Throughout our journey, you’ll have the opportunity to fine-tune your observation skills as we traverse local trails, seeking to identify a diverse array of flora, fauna, fungi, rocks, and everything else that we encounter while traversing the landscape. You might even learn something from nature itself as we think about how humans have lived in these ecosystems for thousands of years. Leave this camp on Thursday afternoon with new friends and a deeper understanding the natural world!
