Found a Wild Animal?
The Wildlife Care Center accepts injured and orphaned birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians found in Oregon. We operate our Injured Wildlife Hotline from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., 365 days a year. We cannot accept any injured or sick ADULT ducks or geese, and have limited ability to accept ducklings and goslings (see avian flu intake policy below).

Please Note: Current Wildlife Care Center Avian Influenza Intake Policy
Bird Alliance of Oregon will not be accepting ANY adult injured ducks or geese for treatment. However, we can accept a limited number of injured or orphaned ducklings and goslings. If you find orphaned ducklings or goslings, please first follow the fostering/reuniting instructions here – if reuniting is unsuccessful, or the duckling/gosling is injured, please bring them to the center for care. Injured adult ducks and geese are being referred to Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) (in the Portland area, the Sauvie Island office or Clackamas office). ODFW will provide these animals with humane euthanasia. Please call ahead when possible. Read more here.
