SUPER SWIFTS WEEK: Olympic Coast Backpacker (SUNDAY, August 4-Friday, August 9) *FULL*

Embark on an unforgettable adventure learning the ins and out of backpacking along the stunning Olympic Coast.
Over the course of five nights and six days, young explorers will trek through lush forests, traverse sandy beaches, and discover hidden tide pools teeming with marine life. We will start our trip camping at Staircase campground in Olympic National Parl, where we will learn the basics of backpacking and prep for our trip. On the 3rd day of our trip we will head to the Olympic Coast to embark on a 4-day backpacking excursion.
Led by experienced guides, participants will learn essential outdoor skills such as setting up camp, cooking meals in the backountry, and Leave No Trace principles. This immersive journey promises not just physical challenges, but also moments of wonder and camaraderie as young adventurers forge lasting memories in the heart of nature.
All transportation and meals are provided. Participants supply their own camping gear. *We ask that campers come with 2-3 person tents, if you do not have a tent please contact us so we can supply extra tents.

Note: Please be prepared to carry 30-40lbs and hike 4-6 miles per day over varying and sometimes steep terrain. Preparing for this trip by hiking with weight in your backpack in the weeks leading up to this trip is essential for you to appreciate all that this program has to offer!
Required Pre-trip meeting TBD, 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. to review the route, share gear suggestions and have a Q&A. Will be held over Zoom.

Capacity: 10 campers
Drop off Location: This camp will meet at Upper Macleay Park, which neighbors Bird Alliance of Oregon on Cornell Road to the east.
Type of Camp: Expeditions travel with Bird Alliance of Oregon for 5 nights, 6 days across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Summer campers will sleep in tents.
