Oregon Semaphore Grass Planting

Work with the Burns Paiute Tribe’s Natural Resources Department to plant Oregon’s rarest grass, and one of the rarest grasses in the U.S. at the Tribe’s Logan Valley property. Some walking on uneven surfaces will be required for this planting. There may be a need to cross creeks to get to planting sites. Gloves provided. Camping provided at Crystal Crane Hot Springs. Camping gear available.

This is one of three Stewardship Parties: These multi-day events are for folks who want to get their hands dirty. Join Bird Alliance of Oregon and local partners in restoring wildlife habitat in Harney County (and of course doing some great bird watching!). Here is a general itinerary for a stewardship weekend.
