Join this live, online class to paint the Anna’s Hummingbird alongside Ronna, an experienced watercolor painter, art educator, and bird enthusiast. This class is appropriate for intermediate and ambitious beginners.
The brilliant pink and green feathers of the male Anna’s Hummingbird glow among the dark foliage of the Pacific Northwest! These birds rely on native plants for fuel, sipping nectar from many species of flowers growing right here in Oregon. Students will learn how to paint this glorious little bird among native plants during this online watercolor painting class. Come join Ronna to learn how to paint the meticulous feather pattens and brilliant colors in a simple and gestural way. Join us to celebrate spring! This class is part of our Homes and Habitats Workshop series.
The birds will be painted from photographs supplied by Ronna. Students can paint along with Ronna during class or work at their own pace with access to the recording of the class after the session.
