Plant Fossils of Oregon

Oregon has some of the most interesting and diverse geology in the country, in part because of the abundance of fossils to be found across the state. In particular, plant fossils are relatively common, and can tell us a lot about the ways the climate and landscape have changed throughout Oregon’s past.

Together, we will dive into the formation of plant fossils, what they can teach us, and even how and where to go find your own!

Take a deep dive into the plant fossils of Oregon!

Did you know that Oregon is a great place to find plant fossils? Join us to learn about Oregon’s geologic history, how plant fossils are formed, and how and where to find them!
