Celebrate OWLtober: Online Watercolor Painting with Ronna: The Barn Owl

*This is an online art class held on Zoom.

Birds are an excellent source of inspiration and a joy to paint in watercolor. Join this live, online class to paint alongside Ronna Fujisawa, an experienced watercolor painter, art educator, and bird enthusiast. You will learn about distinguishing marks and colors, using watercolor paint, basic drawing, and painting techniques to create beautiful bird watercolors. View supply list.

This class will focus on the mysterious Barn Owl. With subtle colors we will capture the beauty of this haunting bird of the night. With a unique brush technique, we will bring our inspiration of the Barn Owl to life with colors such as Burnt Sienna, Van Dyke Brown, Naples Yellow, and Cobalt Blue. With a minimal palette, this hunting bird hides in the cavities of the barn, with a few strokes of the brush, portrayed as a moody and dramatic painting.

Students can paint along with Ronna during this live class or work at their own pace with access to the recording of the zoom lesson after the session.
