The Bird Days of Summer: Birds & Bevvies ft. Guero Bird Club at Oak Island *3 spots left*
Guero Bird Club and Bird Alliance of Oregon team up for the ultimate Sauvie Island summer adventure! No ride out to Sauvie Island? No problem! Birders can bike to Guero for pickup.
Meeting location: As a group we will meet us at the Sauvie Island Park and Ride at 8:45am and ride together to the Oak Island trailhead.

Trail Tread and Width: Sandy beach and gravel/dirt road
Amenities: Port-a-potty toilets; large parking lot
Public Transit: No public transit
Rest Stops and pacing: We will move slowly and intentionally on a sandy beach. Be prepared for walking in mostly wet, compact sand with a little bit of dry, loose sand. Biking will be on a compact dirt road.

Join Bird Alliance of Oregon’s Education and Conservation Team for The Bird Days of Summer, a series of free, super beginner-friendly programs for anyone curious about birds in nature. We’re combining community-building, exploration, and fun to create safe spaces for people to get to know each other as well as the birds. Binoculars will be provided, and we’ll begin each program with a short “how-to” to help you get started.
