The Bird Days of Summer: Migrate with Malheur, a partnership with Friends of Malheur (Harney County)

Visitors are invited to explore Malheur National Wildlife along the 42 mile Blitzen Valley Auto Tour Route and stop at Birding Hotspots to meet with and learn from volunteer docents. These birders and Malheur enthusiasts will be stationed at 4 locations from 9am – 1pm; Refuge Headquarters, Buena Vista, Benson Pond, and P Ranch. The natural and cultural history of each location is as varied as the birds you may see!

This event sponsored by Friends of Malheur provides visitors to Malheur to bird with experts at hot spots across the Refuge. Early June is a great time for breeding birds, and the occassional rare warbler!
