WEDNESDAYS: Bird Song Walks at Mt. Tabor – 2.0

Mt. Tabor is one of the most popular birding locations in the Portland Metro area and is a hotspot for migrant birds in spring. The mornings will include birdsong from our resident forest birds and colorful visitors like the Western Tanager and many warblers. You can expect a large crowd of enthusiastic birders every week.

Mt. Tabor Park – 2.0 Bird Song Walks occur Wednesdays, Starting 4/10 – Ending 5/29. Walks are held from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. RSVP below!

Accessibility

Distance: Up to 3 miles
Elevation: 300 ft. (up & down)
Trail Tread and Width: Mostly paved road, paved trail, single track packed dirt/gravel, steep stairs.
Pacing: Slow with frequent stops
Amenities: Two restrooms on site. Street parking available on SE park Dr. and nearby neighborhood.
Public Transportation: Tri-met #15 to 69th and Yamhill (.25 miles)
Meeting Location: Meet at the closed gate on SE Park Drive. This street leads up the the Visitor’s Center building and parking lot but is closed on Wednesdays to traffic. Use this pin for the correct meeting location. GPS directions to Mt. Tabor park will be incorrect.
